Susan Vorhand on Jungian Psychology

Susan Vorhand holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology. Her training as a clinician emphasized Depth Psychology, and she has worked with severely disturbed children, seriously ill patients, and in the clinical pastoral treatment of bereaved families. She uses spiritual insights with people, confronting the ultimate human and existential issues of life and death. In her work she uses psychodrama, Ericksonian hypnosis, and dispute mediation.

Although she lives in Los Angeles, Dr. Vorhand travels extensively, which has allowed her to learn about cultural differences between people groups. She has studied art in Italy and in Mexico and spends part of every year in Oxford (U.K.). In keeping with her focus on spirituality and Judaism, she travels regularly to Israel and to Torah study centers in various parts of the United States.

She has lectured and facilitated programs and workshops for women, and has presented at international and regional conventions on her research into Soul-Centered approaches to healing and therapy.

Dr. Vorhand is both a psychologist and an artist, and she creates impressionistic tile mosaics as well as helping others explore the inner mosaics of their own lives.
